My Interview At Amaltheas Attic

Florence Ivy was kind enough to interview me on her blog Amaltheas Attic about my fundraising effort to raise money for childhood cancer research. If you'd like to take a look here is a link to the interview:
Helping Out The Sick Kids! « Notes From The Attic  I'm still shy of my fundraising goal. I'd appreciate any help in the way of donations and by spreading the word by sharing this info. Thanks!

Kong Gets Some New Teeth

It was suggested to me by Paul Gill of Gillman Productions that to make creating a mold of Kong as easy as possible the bottom jaw would need to be removable. So here is some photos of Kong's new bottom jaw and his new teeth.

What Color Should I Dye My Hair For My Mohawk?

I'm closing in on the halfway mark of my fundraising goal for The St.Baldrick's Foundation for childhood cancer research. So far I've auctioned two pieces of artwork! And a third sculpture will be sold this Thursday. If I can reach $1000.00 by June 28th I'll dye my hair and shave it into a mohawk.

I have a poll up on my Facebook fanpage to pick what color I should dye it. I'm asking everyone to pop on over and cast your vote for the color you'd like to see. And if you'd like leave a comment so I know what color you picked:   https://www.facebook.com/BlacknickSculpture Thanks!

Nautical Art Auction

I wanted to mention that I will be having a nautical themed auction of my work starting May 14th and running through May 24 2012. Twenty five percent of the auction proceeds will go to benefit The St.Baldrick's Foundation for childhood cancer research.

If I'm able to raise $1000.00 dollars by June 28th I've promised to dye my hair and have it shaved into a mohawk!

If you know of anyone that likes artwork of sharks, whales, or sea turtles I'd appreciate it if you could share my blog link with them.

The sculptures can be viewed at the following links:

Dinosaur Art Auction

I have one of my original dinosaur sculpture up for auction on eBay. It is similar to the film version stegosaurus in King Kong as it has pebbly skin and eight tail spikes. Proceeds from the final bid price will go to benefit the St.Baldricks Foundation for childhood cancer research.

Here is the link if you'd like to take a look :http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120897889574

Spider Pit Article in The Prehistoric Times

Welcome to the new followers of my blog! I wanted to give a heads up about an article I wrote about creating a diorama of the King Kong spider pit and its denizens. It appears in the current issue (# 101 ) of The Prehistoric Times : http://www.prehistorictimes.com/

I'm in the process of designing a new creature that will be residing in the pit shortly. Check back for updates!
